Written on London County Cricket Club, Crystal Palace, headed notepaper, Grace writes to 'acknowledge receipt of £2 for the groundsman fund' and hopes the correspondent 'will join our club and make lots of runs for us', closing by wishing a 'pleasant voyage home'. Very nicely signed 'W.G. Grace'. Previously sold as lot 107 by Christie's in November 1990. Horizontal and vertical folds, otherwise in good/ very good condition
