Title in red and black within engraved architectural border, 16 folding engraved plates by Giorgio Fossati and Franciscus Vener. (Repaired tears to inner blank margins of M1 & 2). Contemporary vellum (lightly soiled). A fine copy of a late but attractive edition. Paolo AMATO La Nuova Pratica di Prospettiva. Palermo: Vincenzo Toscano & Onofrio Gramignani, 1736. 2° (438 x 260mm). Engraved portrait frontispiece and 34 plates (numbered 1-35) on 18 leaves, one folding. (Signatures E and M with old dampstaining to upper blank margins, neat repairs to margins of title and the eighth leaf of plates affecting the image area of plate numbered 17.) Contemporary vellum, morocco lettering-piece on spine. Provenance : 2nd Marquess of Bute (Luton Library armorial bookplate); together with an incomplete copy (lacking plate 13) of Pierre LE MUET's Maniere de bien bastir. Paris: 1647. 2°.
