The first comprising a Continental lead ladle from a cased set of percussion target pistols, the turned and moulded stem with knurled decoration, and swelling rosewood handle of octagonal section turned and moulded at the top, a wooden charge dispenser from a musketeer's bandolier, of characteristic form with turned rounded base cut with flutes, a German leather cartridge box for field artillery, the flap with brass crossed cannons over a stack of cannon balls, an iron bullet-mould with sprue-cutter and two-piece brass head, a Persian powder-measure, the tubular body of octagonal section turned at each end, the measuring bar with loop for suspension, and a Continental tubular brass powder-measure with integral suspension ring; the last probably Delft or Rotterdam, variously painted in blue glaze with a cavalryman firing his pistol, and infantrymen, two armed with matchlock muskets (10) The first 28 cm. long
