Valerie Thompson A Life in Spoons (3), 2023 Oil paint on collage on paper Signed on Verso 10 x 15cm (3¾ x 5¾ in.) This lot has been curated by AOAP About I live in rural North Wales where I paint and hill walk. I studied Graphic Design at Hornsey College of Art in London, and obtained a PGCE at Liverpool University. I had a career teaching in Cheshire Schools, including as Head of Art at Abbey Gate College, Chester. In 2009 I retired in order to pursue my other interests of long distance walking and producing my own Artwork. I have had paintings regularly included in Exhibitions at The Royal Cambrian Academy in Conwy, The Chester Grosvenor Museum and The North Wales Open Art Exhibition at Theatr Clwyd. My Paintings 'A Life in Spoons 2' and '13' were exhibited at The Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions in 2022 and 2023 respectively. 'A Life in Spoons 17' has been accepted for the 2023 London Biennale.
