Oban tate-e; each from the Rokujuyoshu meisho zue series (Famous Views of the 60-odd Provinces), published by Koshimuraya Heisuke and signed Hiroshige-hitsu, including: four with two nanushi censor seals: Yamashiro: Arashiyama togetsukyo (The Moon Crossing Bridge at Arashiyama) [#1], Shima: Hiyoriyama toba minato (Mr. Hiyori and Toba Bay) [#8], Biwako Ishiyamadera (Ishiyama Temple and Lake Biwa) [#22], each dated 1853.7 and Shinano: Sarashina tagoto no tsuki kyodaiyama (Mirror Stand Mountain and the moon reflected in the rice fields at Sarashima) [#25] dated 1853.8; the remaining five with aratame censor seals: Iwami: Takatsuyama shiohama (The Saltmaker's Beach near Mt. Takatsu) [#43] and Bingo: Abumon kannondo (Temple of Kannon at Abumon) [#49] each dated 1853.12; Tosa: kaijo katsuozuri (Fishing for bonito off the coast) [#58] dated 1855.9; and Higo: Gokanosho (Tree bridge at Gokanosho) [#64] and Tsushima: Kaigan yubare (Clear evening with rainbow over the sea) [#69], each dated 1856.3 – varying impression, generally very good-good color, some trimmed and backed, minor soiling and wormage 14 5/8 x 10 1/4in (37 x 26cm) to 14 1/8 x 9 1/4in (36 x 23.5cm)
