Unused on cover / entire letter 1790 entire letter from HMS Leopard, Cape of Good Hope to London, showing, on the address panel, "LONDON/SHIP LETTER" (mainly a good strike in black), also items from the First (1795-1803) and Second (1806-1816) British Occupations including 1810 entire letter from the Quartermaster, 93rd Regiment at the Cape to Scotland showing Portsmouth Ship Letter, 1807-14 entires addressed to the Cape (5) and one to St. Helena all with Ship Letter handstamp Type SL.1 (one with light "POST PAID PORT LOUIS" h.s. of Mauritius), 1815 entire letters from the Cape to London and Edinburgh with similar Type SL.1 handstamp, and a selection of interesting related ephemera.
