A 3/4 profile portrait of General Stonewall Jackson in uniform, reputed to have hung in the South Carolina capital building; 26.5 x 35.75 in., framed, 36.25 x 45.25 in. This painting appears to be based upon Jackson's Chancellorsville portrait, taken by a photographer from the Richmond Studio of Minnis and Crowell at Spotsylvania County Farm on April 26, 1863, seven days before being mortally wounded at the Battle of Chancellorsville. Condition: Noticeable wear to the frame, including significant chips along the perimeter.
