Gas operated semi automatic rifle with National Match rear sights marked NM, and stacked blade front sight with ear protectors. Item features a bayonet lug, triple sling swivels, and checkered trapdoor buttplate void of cleaning kit but loaded with what appear to be lead weights. Markings include U.S RIFLE/CAL. .30 M1/SPRINGFIELD/ARMORY/329882 to receiver, S-A 8-41 to right side of barrel, and BNP British export markings to top of barrel. Stock does not appear to have any visible markings. Throat gauge reading of about 2, and muzzle reading of about 1 to 1.5. Item was not disassembled to check for operating rod relief cut. Included is an extra SA marked operating rod with relief cut. Condition: Good to very good. Bore is bright. Finish is strong overall, with some light scratches. Gas cylinder shows a small cluster of oxidation and some small clusters of pitting under finish, possibly re-applied at some point. Wood stock appears to have two small repairs behind floorplate, with few light scratches overall. Trapdoor buttplate has chalky white residue most likely from oxidation of lead weights.
