Pistol remains in original flintlock configuration, with two fairly clear, but slightly smeared cartouches on the counterpane. A solid Seminole War and/or Mexican War handgun and the last official pattern US martial flintlock pistol. Condition: Very good. Metal mostly bright, scattered flecks of surface oxidation age discoloration. All markings in metal remain crisp and clear. Mechanically functional, very good bore. Stock lightly sanded with some added finish, and a repaired crack forward of the second lock screw.
