U.S. M1840 cavalry heavy saber w/ metal scabbard
having a 6" octagonal barrel with gold bead front sight. The top flat marked, "Address Col Saml Colt / New York U.S. America" and "Colt's Patent" to left side of frame. The cylinder with roll engraved stagecoach holdup scene. Brass trigger guard and back strap, all matched s/n 267300. Condition: very good, 50-60% blue on barrel and cylinder with some ling scattered pitting, righr grip with 4 small holes.
