Williams"), 1 p, 8vo, Chicago, January 24, 1951, on Hotel Sherman letterhead, to WALTER WINCHELL, signature a little smudged, pale stain to lower right corner, some pencil erasure. Williams thanks Winchell for his mention of The Rose Tattoo in his New York Daily Mirror column. Williams warmly praises his own cast, "I suspect that a couple of these 'unknowns' will take precedence over anything and anybody else connected with the production and it may be that they will be remembered a long time after the play and its author, Etc., have been forgotten."
