Title: Typed letter signed by Earl Warren as Governor of California, plus two other related letters Author: Warren, Earl (1891-1974) Place: Sacramento Publisher: Date: May 8, 1945 Description: 1-page typed letter signed by Governor Earl Warren on the State of California Governor's Office letterhead, dated May 8, 1945, addressed to Mr. Frank Tower, Angels Camp, California. Writes: "I personally appreciate your willingness to continue to serve as a Member of the Board of Directors of the 39th District Agricultural Association...Your commission and oath of office are enclosed...Sincerely Earl Warren." 11x8½". Includes also a typed letter signed by Executive Secretary M. Stanley Mosk on the letterhead of California Governor Culbert L. Olson, dated March 12, 1941, addressed to Mr. Frank Tower, regarding his first term as Member of the Board of Directions of the 39th District Agricultural Association; and a typed letter copy titled "Memorandum of Instructions for Filing Oath of Office from Governor Earl Warren, dated January 15, 1949 (not signed). Lot Amendments Condition: Each with slight wrinkling and soiling; Olson/Mosk letter with small stains; copy letter with 2¼" tear to top edge; else very good or better overall. Item number: 158112
