No place: Published by Alexander Woollcott, Christmas, 1927. Woollcott, Alexander. While Rome Burns. Tan buckram with large copper cover onlay. slipcase. No. 468 of 500 copies, signed by Woollcott, & additionally inscribed by him to Susan Fleming [Marx]. Bookplate of Harpo & Susan Marx. 1st ed. New York: Viking, 1934. Harpo Marx, the "silent" Marx Brother, became a regular fixture of the famed Algonquin Round Table alongside Dorothy Parker, Alexander Woollcott and Robert Benchley. He married the actress Susan Fleming in 1936. Lot Amendments Condition: Slipcase with some rubbing and fading; volumes both fine or nearly so. Item number: 275220
