TWO PAIRS OF CHINESE EMBROIDERED RANK BADGES LATE QING DYNASTY Two brightly decorated in gold thread with a panther for a sixth rank military official, two woven in silk and gold thread with a silver pheasant for a fifth rank civil official, the sun above each creature picked out in coral-coloured beads, with bats and shou characters bordering the designs, each attached to a blue mount, 31.5cm x 32.5cm max. (4)
