Handwritten leaf, ruling on the laws of inheritance, with a halachic responsum with explanation of the grounds of the ruling, signed by Mogador rabbis: R. Avraham Tzabach and R. Yehuda ben Moyal. Mogador (Essaouira), Adar [1901]. Confirmation of the ruling appears at the foot of the letter, signed by three Marrakesh rabbis: R. Avraham son of Yaakov Atzabag, R. Avraham ben Mocha and R. Yamin Cohen. Marrakesh, Sivan [1901]. R. Yehuda ben Moyal (ca. 1828-died in Jerusalem in 1911), leading Moroccan rabbi and member of the Beit Din of R. Avraham Tzabach [already in the 1870s, R. Yaakov Abuchatzeira the Abir Yaakov would count R. Yehuda ben Moyal among the four leading rabbis in Morocco, together with the famed R. Yitzchak ben Valid in Tetouan, R. Shaul ibn Danan in Fez and R. Yaakov Abtan in Marrakesh]. From ca. 1902, he served as head of the Beit Din and Chief Rabbi of Mogador. His book, the Shevet Yehuda responsa, was printed by his descendants (Jerusalem, 1994). This responsum was not printed. R. Avraham Tzabach (died ca. 1902), elder Rabbi of Mogador, signed together with R. Yehuda ben Moyal on responsa printed in the book Rachamim Peshutim (by R. Refael Chaim Moshe ben Na'im of Gibraltar) and in the books Olat Ish and Yisa Ish (by the Yisa Bracha of Jerusalem). 2. Handwritten leaf, Maase Beit Din document [authorization of an appointment of a messenger for a divorce], signed by the dayanim: R. David Adahan, R. Avraham Yifrach and R. Shimon Abutbul. Casablanca, 1918. 2 large leaves. 27-38 cm. Good condition. Minor tears and wear.
