Two early nineteenth century blue and white transfer-printed British Cobalt plates, c.1816-20. Comprising: A John Mare Italian pattern plate marked ‘British Cobalt Blue’ to the reverse. Also, a Spode India pattern plate with the 'British Cobalt, Sparnon Mine' mark to the reverse. Both 25 cm wide. (2) Condition: India plate with chip to the front rim.
