Two cuttings from a mid-twelfth century liturgical manual, with sixteen leaves from fifteenth-century Books of Hours, in Latin and Dutch, all on parchment [twelfth to fifteenth century] Eighteen pieces: two cuttings from a liturgical manual, both cut from single columns, the larger with 14 lines with music in simple neumes arranged around a red Clef line, capitals touched in red, seven tall red initials, remains of one large red initial with scalloping penwork, 148 by 112 mm. and 118 by 104 mm., scuffs and discolouration in some places; and sixteen leaves from Books of Hours, all bar three in Latin (those in Dutch), including examples from illuminated and finely decorated books, two Calendar leaves, and examples in letter bâtarde; one leaf with an initial and adjacent area of border cut away, else in good condition
