TWELVE ANCIENT STONE SEALS AND AMULETS CIRCA 3RD-1ST MILLENNIUM B.C. Including a Jemdet Nasr limestone cylinder seal, with five 'lozenges' and stylized branch with dots and dotted rosettes in the field, circa 3300-2700 B.C.; a Jemdet Nasr quartz amulet in the form of a recumbent calf, eyes recessed for inlay, circa 3300-2700 B.C.; two Jemdet Nasr carnelian amulets, one in the form of a duck, the other a hare(?), circa 3300-2700 B.C.; an Akkadian black serpentine cylinder seal with hero grasping a bull in each hand, each being attacked by crossed lions, circa 2350-2150 B.C.; an Old Babylonian mottled green serpentine cylinder seal, with a standing bearded god wearing long tiered robe, facing a female figure wearing a long tiered robe, her hands raised in adoration, circa 2000-1600 B.C.; a Neo-Assyrian banded agate cylinder seal with standing winged divinity grasping a caprid in each hand, circa 883-539 B.C.; a Roman chalcedony conoid stamp seal with a kneeling male figure, circa 1st Century A.D.; a mottled brown seal with caprid and hunter; a steatite cylinder seal surmounted by an animal, circa 4th-3rd Millenium B.C.; a yellow chalcedony domed seal with the forepart of a stag, circa 1st Millenium B.C.
