[November 1838], recommending a 'Candidate for the Situation of Drawing Master, Mr Charles Radclyffe whose works I have seen and think fully intitled to your consideration', one page, 4to , integral address panel; [ with ] a collection of letters from Daniel Maclise Alfred Chalon, James Willmore and others to the Governors in November 1838, recommending Radclyffe, with a group of letters to Radclyffe, 1838-1879, including seven from Sophie Anderson in Capri in the 1870s; [and] a postcard with signature of Augustus John an autograph letter signed by John Masefield (incompletely dated) relating an anecdote about the Duke of Wellington, and a letter signed by George Macdonald Fraser (21 in total).
