(8), 58 (=116) pp. Title with large woodcut coat-of-arms (of a cardinal), full-page woodcut on verso title, richly illustrated with full-page woodcuts within borders of flowers and fruits, many woodcut initials and vignettes in the text. Contemporary paper binding with old medieval manuscript vellum mounted on boards, some stains and spots. Title with large repair in outer margin, some erasing of signature, small blue stamp in the corner. Some minor foxing, minor spot in margin on some leaves. First edition. Photo. Berlin Kat. 4722. Second edition published in 1683, enlarged with a third part. Giulio Troili (1613-85), Italian architect and scene painter. Interesting and beautiful handbook about perspective and sceneries for the theatre.
