Tray decorated with Damascene work. [Eretz Israel, first half of the 20th century]. Cast brass, inlaid with silver and copper (damascene work). Oval tray. In the center are decorations in vegetal and geometric motifs, surrounded by circles of different decorations: a circle with the names of the months (according to the Gregorian calendar); a circle with bird and Star-of-David decorations; and a circle with illustrations of the twelve signs of the zodiac, the names of the Hebrew months and the names of the signs. On the margins are tendril and pomegranate decorations. Length: 49 cm, width: 70 cm. Good condition. Slight defects. Remains of suspension loop on the of the tray.
