Chapters XLIX - LV of this second volume discuss the missions among the infidels and work of the missionaries, including the missionaries of New California, describing in detail the native inhabitants of the region, the state of the missions there and the impressions that some domestic and foreign travelers have formed on them. He also reports on other topics concerning missionaries in New Spain, with notes on the history of the missions of Landa, Tilaco, Jalpan, Tlancoyol and Conca, founded in the region of the Sierra Gorda at the request of Archbishop Lorenzana. OCLC/WorldCat lists 13 copies in institutional libraries. There is only one record of the sale of the book at auction since 1975, according to American Book Prices Current, the copy sold at the dispersal of the inventory of John Howell-Books in 1985.
