First Edition of this important treaty which provoked the shifting of the balance of power that would follow. It united for some time France with Austria and Great Britain. French and Latin texts in parallel columns. This copy complete with 110 pages. Other copies have 112 pages. Comparing this copy to the 112 page version shows that when the French text in this edition is longer than the corresponding Latin text paragraph, in many instances it crosses the centerline of the page and extends to the Latin side. In the 112 page version, this has been corrected, lengthening the number of lines. There is no apparent difference in the text itself. Lot Amendments Condition: Some wear and rubbing to leather; hinges freshened with cloth tape, dampstains to title page, scattered foxing; very good. Item number: 271392
