Beschreibung:

A pair of Torah Finials, dedicated to the synagogue of the Urmia congregation in Tel-Aviv, [1929-1930]. Silver, repousée, cut and engraved. A pair of Torah finials, shaped as a pear, centered with an architectural-design decoration. Each finial is topped with a Star of David on an onion-shaped dome. In the center of the finial, an octagonal structure in which gates are cut out. Each edge is topped with a chain attached to a bell. All of the finial's surface, except for the gates, is ornamented with a vegetal pattern. Each stem is inscribed in Hebrew: "of the Urmia, Persia, Olim synagogue in Tel-Aviv the year 1930”.The congregation of Urmia named “Nash Didan” (in Aramaic – our people), is located on the border between Iran, Turkey and Azerbaijan. Most of the congregation made Aliya to Eretz Israel in the 20th century. Height: 31 cm, good condition. Minor damages, a small hole on one finial, soldering marks on the Star of David on top of one finial.
