Tito Pellicciotti Italian, 1872-1950 Portrait of an Old Man; t/w Italian School, 19th Century, Portrait of a Woman in a Scarf. Italian, 1872-1950 Portrait of an Old Man Signed T. Pellicciotti (ll) Oil on panel 9 3/4 x 5 1/4 inches; Together with Italian School, 19th Century, Portrait of a Woman in a Scarf, signed indistinctly (lr), oil on panel, 7 3/4 x 4 1/2 inches
Old Man: Frame rubbing. There is a 1'' crack in the panel at the upper left corner. Panel also appears to have a crack extending from the bottom left edge all the way up to the man's right ear, roughly 5'' in length (though no paint loss). Few scattered losses and minor surface dirt. Bit of cracquelure, particularly in the man's face. Masking varnish makes detection of restoration difficult under UV light. Woman: Frame rubbing. Minor surface dirt. Few scattered scuffs.
