Temple, Attorneys for Respondent Author: ** Place: San Francisco Publisher: Printed by Towne & Bacon Date: 1863 Description: 20 pp. 21x14.1 cm. (8¼x5½"), original printed wrappers. First Edition. Joaquin Carrillo was brother-in-law to Mariano Vallejo, as Joaquin was the eldest son of Mariano's mother-in-law Maria Carrillo. Joaquin's wife was Encarnacion, they received 13,000 acres from Vallejo known as the Llano de Santa Rosa, and built their adobe house in 1846. There are about seven contemporary in corrections to the text. A Wm. Ross has signed his name four times on the front wrapper, and has also written the name of E.C. Larning, Atty for Appel., and those of W.C. Wallace and J. Temple above there printed names. OCLC/WorldCat lists only the copy at the University of California, Berkeley. Lot Amendments Condition: Browning to wrappers; very good. Item number: 232087
