With 1 7-line pictorial initial in gilt & colors (4.5 cm. high); 8 4-line pictorial initials in gilt & colors (2.5 cm.); 68 2-line initials, gilt & color; numerous 1-line initials in gilt or color; 8 pages with illuminated decorations in the borders. 16x10.5 cm. (6¼x4¼"), late 19th/early 20th century full red levant morocco, spine lettered in gilt, raised bands, gilt inner dentelles, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt; bound by Marlière. Lovely illuminated book of hours, though likely just a fragment of a fuller book. The spine title is "Horae S.M. Virginis." With the bookplate of Dupont de St. Ouën. Lot Amendments Condition: Some minor soiling and discoloration to vellum, occasional light staining to gutters and lower margins; very good. Item number: 213656
