Early letters from the frontier and mines of Idaho, the earliest being a freestyle check or draft request from Lewiston, I.T., to Henry Failing in Portland, "Please pay to H.S. Sanborn or order five hundred and thirty-six 50/100 dollars in U.S. treasury notes and charge the same to the account of Chas Hutchins..." Among the other letters is one from Camp Mullen's Bridge, 1866, "Mr. Henry Failing, Portland, Sir, for the spring trip to Blackfoot City I think of taking about 10,000 lbs. Mdse. of which I would be pleased to have yout furnish a part, in articles in your line..." Lot Amendments Condition: Very good or better condition. Item number: 197838
