Swiss-made, c.1996. 17-jewel movement Valjoux 7750 highly-polished movement with Geneva striping; black dial with Arabic numerals, tachymeter and telemeter in gilt, gold leaf hands, seconds register at 9, chronograph register at 12, date aperture at 3, gold central chronograph hand; stainless steel case, crown flanked by two oval pushers, exhibition back displaying movement; black leather Tissot strap; together with outer box, wood display box (lining deteriorated), instructions, warranty, watch rate certificate, original tag and Tissot leaflet indicating that this was one of 180 pieces available in Hong Kong. Case, dial and movement signed. 38mm diameter not including crown, 20mm lugs. Limited Edition: 236/3333. Outstanding recreation of a classic Tissot military chronograph originally created by commission for the Brazilian government in 1935. Excellent condition, runs smoothly, not tested for timekeeping.
