Tiffany Studios Reticulated Bronze and Leaded Glass Turtleback Table Lamp Circa 1910 The domed geometric shade in mottled green colored glass and with a six-light cluster, raised on a pierced blown-out 'Pineapple' standard, shade signed TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK and inscribed 1655 ; base stamped TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK 28610. Height 22 3/4 inches; height of shade 6 5/8 inches, diameter 16 inches . Provenance: Estate of Lee B. Anderson Gifted to Consignor, 2012. According to the October 1, 1906, Price List for Tiffany Studios, published in Louis C. Tiffany's Glass - Bronzes - Lamps: A Complete Collector's Guide , by Robert Koch, this lamp base is model no. 338, which retailed for $80.00 and was described as "blown glass in metal, Pineapple, four leaf legs." Shade: appears to be in generally good condition; there are perhaps only two or three small glass segments with tight hairline cracks; the turtlebacks appear to be in good condition and do not appear to be loose (nice and sturdy); the glass is uniformly soiled and would benefit from a careful cleaning; the glass in the blown-out section appears to be in good, undamaged condition Base: typical wear, dulling and soiling to the patina; the patina is completely worn away on the main part of the blown-out section of the body; lamp has been rewired; not tested; the domed heat cap appears to be authentic and original; finial is a later replacement
