Tiffany Studios Patinated-Bronze and Favrile Glass Inkwell In the Pine Needle pattern, of squat globular form, with hinged domed cover, removable colorless glass insert, in green decorated with an allover motif of pine needles, signed TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK. Height 3 5/8 inches, diameter 7 inches.
Filigree section appears to be in good condition; no dents, losses, etc. Cap has one slight area of indentation near back. Cap has reddish brown patina, sides are chocolate brown and base plate is green and brown. Base signed TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK; there are no numbers. The mottled green glass panels appear to be in good condition; one area appears to have a hairline, however, the base plate was removed and all of the glass panels appear to be in good condition with no evidence of repair. The colorless glass insert appears to be a later replacement.
