Tiffany Studios Gilt-Bronze and Leaded Glass Vine Border Lamp Circa 1910 The shade stamped TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK and 1435-19, base stamped TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK and TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK 584. Height overall 21 inches, height of shade 6 1/2 inches, diameter 16 inches. C Property of a Private Collector, Long Island
Shade: appears to be in generally good condition; the shade is pretty much "in the round," however, it is ever so slightly smaller in diameter in one direction (1/4 inch); some of the individual glass segments have tight hairline cracks, consistent with age and usage; no apparent sign or indication of repair or replacement to any of the individual glass segments; the finish of the glass is glossy and smooth on both the exterior and interior side; the white opalescent glass geometric band in the lower border is made of textured or rippled glass; the leading or caming appear to be in generally good condition Base: the original gilt patina is now all but completely gone and worn away; the patina now has a uniformly dulled and worn appearance; each of the three light sockets are currently in good working order; each of the three light sockets and their corresponding pull chains are later replacements; the ring mount at the top of the base that supports the domed leaded glass shade may not be original to the lamp and may not be an original Tiffany Studios ring mount (it sits well and proper on top of the shade but it does not secure itself to the shade and it does not secure or tighten the shade onto the base); the lamp has been rewired Cap: was originally gilt, however, now the gilt patina is mostly gone; the cap sits properly over the metal ring mount, however, it does not have a screw to secure it properly and securely into place; this cap may be a later replacement and may not be an original Tiffany Studios cap.
