Cases contain four quarter plate portraits of couples and families, among which are an ambrotype of a bearded man with his arm wrapped around a woman wearing a large cameo [1-17S]; a tintype of a fashionable lady seated beside a man, possibly wearing an early militia uniform, with a shotgun in his hand [1-19]; and a pair of pendant ambrotypes showing a father and daughter as well as a mother and toddler, who grips the sleeve of her mother's dress [[1-18].
