THREE PEARLWARE TOBY JUGS, CIRCA 1815 AND 1800, STAFFORDSHIRE AND PROBABLY YORKSHIRE the first by Walton, of warty-faced type, with overglaze enamels, impressed and moulded banner mark, another with a ruddy complexion with predominantly plain clothes with puce details, the third of Pratt-type with more naïve modelling 25.5cm., 24.5cm. and 22.5cm. high, 10in., 9⅝in. and 8⅞in. A few scattered scratches and glaze flakes but overall good. The red-faced jug with a series of short hairline crack to the rim of his ale jug and his hand. The back lower part of the jug has been sprayed concealing a defect, likely to be a crack. Overall in reasonable condition and good appearance. The Pratt type example in overall good order with only a tiny footrim chip and a very small crack to foot; it is probably the best of the three jugs in this group. The lot is sold in the condition it is in at the time of sale. The
