Publisher: Massachusetts Institute of Technology Date: [1992] Description: The notes are on 3 sheets of lined paper, 28x21.5 cm (11x8½"); book is octavo, cloth in jacket. All set in custom-made half calf & marbled boards folding case. Insightful notes made while the Nobel Prize winning biologist was immersed in the book by linguist and philosopher Ray Jackendorff, who had inscribed it to Crick, "Dear Francis - I know you need more to read like a hole in the head. But I am sending this to you anyway in appreciation for the splendid time I had talking with you last week..." Crick has affixed his private library pocket and card to the front pastedown. Provenance: Samuel Hessel. Lot Amendments Condition: All fine or nearly so. Item number: 280359
