lot of 4. Includes two ordnance return reports on Ordnance Office partially printed forms. Both are dated 18 May 1895, for ordnance stores at Fort Sill, Oklahoma Terr., and stamped signature of C. W. Whipple, Captain. Both also secretarially signed Captain E.G. Mathey, 7th Cavalry, AGG, but the report for the quarter ending 30 Sept. 1894 is from Fort Riley, KS, and the report for the quarter ending 31 Dec. 1894 is from Fort Sill, O.T. Also included is ANS from Major W. Wallace (William Miller to Rock Island Arsenal ordering a saddle cloth. 5" x 8", 4 Aug. 1897, Fort Wingate, NM. Last is Army Transportation order for George Craig, Co. A, 4th 10th Infy. from Brownsville, TX to Brazos Santiago, TX, on his way to New Orleans, LA., 15 July 1869. Discharged for expiration of term of service. Stamped twice with Cap. Wm. A. Wainright's large signature stamp, and printed signature of General M.C. Meigs. Also signed by T. R. Potter. Provenance: The Thomas Minckler Collection of Western Americana Condition: Expected toning; Rock Island letter with holes for inclusion in notebook.
