THREE ENGLISH CREAM-JUGS MODELLED AS FAGIN 20th century, two with green printed marks for Artone, one with script mark for Friar-Ware, Devon. Two modelled as a figure of Fagin seated on a brick wall and wearing a black hat and coat, inscribed 'FAGIN'; the third similarly modelled in pottery and decorated in brown and black on an ochre ground, 4.1/8in. (10.5cm.) high; together with a painted biscuit spill vase modelled as a bearded peddler standing with a large sack over his shoulder, the sack open to hold matches, the side striated as a striking surface, 4in. (10.2cm.) high; a porcelain beaker retailed at Lawley's London, printed and enriched in colours with a figure of Fagin wearing a green coat, 3.7/8in. (9.8cm.) high; a Cauldon small plate retailed at Mortlock's of Oxford Street and printed in iron-red with two named vignettes of a Jewish tinker and peddler, 6.5/8in. (16.7cm.) diam.; and a Bankswar painted iron doorstop modelled as a figure of Fagin, 20.1/8in. (51cm.) high. (7)
