Sixth plate tintype of two seated militiamen, wearing shakos with "KG" insignia and "R.I.M." belt buckles, signifying they are from the Kentish Guards of the Rhode Island Militia. A penciled note referring to one of the men as "Papa" states the photo was taken at East Greenwich Academy in Rhode Island and "Papa" served in Co. H, 1st Rhode Island Infantry, in the Civil War.
