Beschreibung:

This wood, brass and glass countertop coin till was invented, patented and manufactured by J. C. Cox, an inventor of several devices to change gold coins to store coins in tills, and to track payments made over a public house bar counter or elsewhere. This particular machine is a coin till with two glass-fronted racks to the left and right, which held and counted coins, while the central mechanism carries coins through a transaction, allowing both the customer and the clerk to see which coins were used as payment, and which are due in correct change. The till is inscribed "Patented 5052". There are areas of scuffing and scrapes to the wood, missing the two glass panels on the back of the left and right coin trays, and with a cracked piece of glass in the coin till. Comes with key to lock the front door. An extremely rare piece of early coin exchange and in very respectable condition. Condition: (Good - Very Good). Item Dimensions: 25 - 1/2" x 16" x 9 - 1/2".
