Won by Olin Dutra (1901–1983). Born in Monterey, Dutra jointed the pro tour in 1924, leaving a job at a hardware store to do so. He won 19 tournaments in all including this 1934 Open and the 1932 PGA Championship, and played on the 1933 and 1935 Ryder Cup teams. Shows pairings and starting times for the first two days of competition (Ben Hogan’s appearance has ink marks and a code); page with official score cord left blank. Articles include: The Open Championship at Merion by Grantland Rice, Merion’s First Open Championship by O.B. Keeler, Merion Leads Way in World of Sports by Robert W.
