The blade of the Social Welfare Leader's Dagger retains exceptional factory cross graining which can be seen from the ricasso area to the blades tip. The nickel plated zinc lower cross guard and upper pommel cap exhibit light patina, and a few small areas where the nickel plating has lifted. The pommel's star-nut shows signs of tampering. The orange trylon grip has areas of patina build up in the recesses, and no signs of major damage. An original Heer style Portepee is tied to the grip of the dagger. The nickel plated steel scabbard retains nearly all of it's original bright plating with minimal patina build up in the recesses. Both scabbard screws appear unturned. The scabbard's dagger hanger studs features round, rather than square, cutouts indicating Social Welfare. The fittings of the hangers are aluminum, and exhibit a natural even patina to them.
