Third Reich Luftwaffe officer promotion document with a facsimile signature of Adolf Hitler, but an original signature of Hermann Goering (Reichsmarshall). Outside experts were consulted who rendered the same opinion regarding the signatures. Document measures 10" x 14" folded, and is in a folder adorned with a gold five and a half inch Third Reich eagle and swastika. The document is 20" x 28" unfolded. The folder is in a large era envelop. The document officially promotes Luftwaffe Major Karl Elshorst to Lieutenant Colonel (Oberstleutnant) on November 25, 1941 (by the Fueherhauptquartier), with an effective date of December 1, 1941. On the lower left of the document is a three inch diameter embossed Third Reich eagle and swastika in a wreath. An interesting document worthy of additional research of this officer. CONDITION: Document is overall excellent with some light staining, folder is overall very good with stains and edge fraying, and outer envelope is also overall very good with staining and light damage.
