Lot of 6, including: Winchester advertisement featuring Theodore Roosevelt, for the "30-30" Repeating Rifle / The Big-Game Gun of To-Day / ...which Vice-President Roosevelt used on his recent hunting trip. 16 x 11.25 in. framed to 18.5 x 14 in. Theodore Roosevelt and Hiram Johnson print, copyright 1912 by Moffett Studio. Johnson (1866-1945) was Governor of California at the time. 12 x 8.25 in. (sight), framed to 19.25 x 15.25 in. 1908 Edison Phonograph advertisement featuring presidential candidates William Jennings Bryan and William Howard Taft, 8vo, framed to 11.5 x 9.5 in. Life magazine cover featuring depiction of Taft by Albert Levering copyright 1905. 10 x 7 in. (sight), framed to 16 x 13 in. Taft bas-relief portrait by Walden Fawcet, copyright 1909, printed by Lenox Manufacturing Co. of New Jersey. And an oval quarter plate thermoplastic wall frame, with 1855 patent, housing an unremarkable mechanically printed portrait of Abraham Lincoln. Provenance: Jim and Pat Gifford Collection of Political Americana Condition: All very good.
