Illustrated with plates from photographs and paintings, some in color, including frontispiece portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. 8vo. Navy blue smooth cloth, stamped in gilt, pictorial jacket. First Edition. Signed and inscribed by Salmond on title page, dated 7th Sept. 1956. Story of the Old Course of St. Andrews, beginning with how the course was laid out "by the ancient architect, Nature", and continuing through it's lively career. Donovan & Murdoch 32980. Lot Amendments Condition: Chips and tape repair to jakcet, price clipped and with price on bottom front flap removed; volume with light wear, mostly to spine, corners bumped, scattered foxing, 'Golfiana Miscellanea' printed on rear paste-down; very good in good jacket.
