The commentary attributed here to the Ra'avad was written by one of the sages of Ashkenaz. Tosfot HaRosh on the chapters of Tractate Sotah are added to the book, the Ritva's commentary on Perek Chelek, and Tosfot HaRosh on Horayot, Kinyan and Midot. On the title page is the signature of "Chaim Yosef Pollack" (1799-1880, HaChatam Sofer Ve'Talmidav – The Chatam Sofer and his Pupils, p. 149), a disciple of the Chatam Sofer, Av Bet Din of Trebišov. His signature appears on Leaf 10 and his handwritten corrections on Leaf 23/2. [1], 48 leaves (without [1] leaf at the end [commentary of Rabbi David Bonfid on Perek Dalet Mitot], which is missing in some copies). Wide margins. 27 cm. Fair condition. Stains and wear. Moisture damages, primarily around the margins. Tears and missing parts on the title page and on several leaves. No damage caused to the text. Damaged binding.
