Andy," with a small sketch of a soup can; he has also initialed "aw" in black ink. Accompanied by the British edition in jacket of Victor Bockris' biography "Warhol" with 9-line ink inscription to Vollmer on the title-page along with 3-page T.L.s. from Bockris to Vollmer, discussing the biography and thanking him for assistance. Warhol worked for Lawrence Vollmer at Horne's Department Store in Pittsburgh, and Vollmer was the only person from Pittsburgh whom Warhol acknowledged as an inspiration to him (see p. 71 of the Bockris biography). A superb association copy. Lot Amendments Condition: Philosophy with foxing to page edges, a bit of rubbing to top and bottom cover edges; near fine to fine, as are the other book and letter.
