Ellis, original member and chairman of The Zamorano Club of Los Angeles, with his signature on the front pastedown. The text follows a translation of the original Italian edition published by Pietro Pacini at Florence in 1505 or 1506. This was the first book illustrated by Valenti Angelo for the press. Lot Amendments Condition: Fair amount of wear to slipcase with splits to bottom edge and spine detached but present, some wear and darkening to vellum as is common, with a few abraded areas on rear cover; rippling to interior; very good.
