This first copy is the only one signed at the colophon by all of its creators: Jane Grabhorn, Edwin Grabhorn, Robert Grabhorn, Sherwood Grover, and Mallette Dean. The prospectus is tipped in at the rear, along with 12 proof pages (pp. 5-16), printed prior to the making of the book. A unique and very desirable volume from the Book Club of California. Lot Amendments Condition: Light wear to jacket; light toning to endpapers, two slips of paper are affixed to the front pastedown; one listing the volume's unique qualities, the other a general catalogue entry; very good.
