McFalls, Malvern, Pennsylvania.Catalogue noteThis mantel and lots 556 and 557 all came from the Coppock House, Marple Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. These manels were likely made for the circa 1732 renovation of the home by Bartholomew Coppock Jr. (abt.1683-abt. 1761). The house was passed to his son-in-law Seth Pancoast upon his death and remained in the Pancoast family until 1910. It was then sold to James A. Mullen who in turn sold it to William H. Walker in May 1913. Walker then sold the house to the Philadelphia Roman Catholic Archdiocese. The house was tragically demolished on December 4, 1964.
