(8vo) 16.5x10 cm (6½x4") period three quarter calf and marbled boards, raised bands and gilt design on spine, morocco spine labels with gilt title, all edges gilt with fore-edge painting, housed in specially made cloth chemise and morocco-backed cloth slipcase with morocco spine labels. Fourth Major Edition. A handsomely bound copy of Walton's classic work with charming watercolor fore-edge painting of two anglers, housed in elegant slipcase. With the bookplate of Arthur H. Raynoldo, and small descriptive plate on front flyleaf detailing the fore edge painting. Lot Amendments Condition: Some rubbing to bands on slipcase spine, light wear to binding, offsetting to page opposite descriptive plate, some light toning and foxing scattered throughout; a solid, vibrant copy; very good.
